Cortiginane e libertinaggio a Venezia. (cod 11-ABCO-WOLKS-TEATRO)

L'itinerario proposto è una passeggiata tra calli e campi alla ricerca di quei luoghi che raccontano la storia delle cortigiane e del libertinaggio a Venezia.
Partendo dal Trecento fino alla caduta della Repubblica nel 1797 si scopriranno usi, leggi e curiosità legate a questo aspetto che, tra gli altri, ha contribuito a rendere celebre la Serenissima.
Verranno narrati fatti realmente accaduti e aneddoti di personaggi più o meno conosciuti che, tra conventi e palazzi nobiliari, hanno fatto la storia del libertinaggio a Venezia.
La narrazione si alternerà agli interventi di due attrici professioniste che reciteranno scene ispirate ai fatti descritti. Una sorta di teatro per strada (o meglio per “calle”) che renderà viva e vivace la narrazione appena ascoltata, con la verve e l'umorismo caratteristici della migliore commedia veneziana.
Per rendere al meglio l'atmosfera dell'argomento ed apprezzare le parti recitate, l'itinerario si svolge di sera, in una Venezia avvolta dalla magia e dal mistero delle sue notti.

Walking tour trough the streets of Venice to discover the roots of Venetian Cuisine, a fascinating and stimulating story that begins from the first lagoon recipes dating from the days when Venice was just one of the provinces of Byzantium, through the triumph of the spices brought by the Levant commerces, through a dizzying series of foreign influences, up to the kitchen of nowadays.

Exotic perfumes, bizarre recipes and curious habits at the table, will be tell in order to find out even this particular side of Venetian culture, never sufficiently unveiled, and in danger of extinction overwhelmed by rampant globalization of frozen food and pizzas.

During the tour some stops are planned in some bacari (typical Venetian taverns) where you can taste the famous cicchetti (finger-food) with a glass of wine, in the best local tradition.

Telling the story of music in Venice from the sixteenth to the twentieth century, following the traces of the baroque theaters, musical hospitals and places lived by great musicians fascinated by this amphibious city. The Music then as complementary of Venetian Painting.

The European visitors who come to Venice in the eighteenth century wrote reports from which emerges a city permeated and enveloped in the music, almost without being able to distinguish the natural sounds of water flowing in the channels and the cries of the seagulls, from the ones played by those instruments in churches, palaces and in the corners of the streets. Thus, from crossing of goods, Venice become a must for anyone with passion and interest in music, be it sacred or popular.

The walking route is along a path that goes from San Samuele to the Scuola di San Marco, passing through the Fenice Theatre and the Church of the Pietà.
